Alyssa Juan - Santos

​I'm a first-year university student studying at the University of Guelph. I am in the Bachelor of Arts program, studying English. I was born in Mississauga, Ontario and I come from a Filipino background. Both my parents were born and raised in the Philippines and moved to Canada to embark on a new journey and a better life. After graduating high school, I was pressured to immediately start my post-secondary studies at McMaster University and soon realized the program I was in was not for me. I  took a gap year to work full-time, and started school this year in a program I truly enjoy, and most importantly, at a school I have always loved.
